Story/Aufgabe im Spiel: Guardians of the Galaxy: The Telltale Series beinhaltet eine brandneue Story mit den wohl unscheinbarsten Helden des Universums: Star-Lord, Gamora, Drax, Rocket und Groot. Inmitten einer epischen Schlacht entdecken die Wächter der Galaxie ein Artefakt von unvorstellbarer Macht. Jeder von ihnen hat einen persönlichen Grund, dieses Relikt in seine eigenen Hände zu kriegen – ebenso wie ein neuer, skrupelloser Feind, der alles daran setzen wird, das Artefakt an sich zu reißen. Auf der Erde, an Bord des Milano-Raumschiffs und in den unbekannten Tiefen des Alls, schlüpft der Spieler in Guardians of the Galaxy: The Telltale Series in die Raketenstiefel von Star-Lord und erlebt ein völlig neues Guardians-Abenteuer, in dem sich die eigenen Entscheidungen aktiv auf die Spielerfahrung auswirken.
