"SteamWorld Dig - A Fistful of Dirt" ist ein hardcore, Platform-, Mining-Adventure welches ursprünglich im vergangenen Sommer für den [lexicon]Nintendo 3DS[/lexicon] erschienen ist und demnächst auch in Full HD für den PC, via Steam, zu haben ist.
In der Rolle des Roboter Rusty kommen wir in die alte Minenstadt Tumbelton um das Erbe unseres Onkels anzutreten. Wir graben uns durch die Erde auf der Suche nach seltenen Mineralien und großen Reichtümern, während wir uns mit jedem Stück den wir tiefer graben einer uralten Bedrohung nähern...
SteamWorld Dig erinnert in seiner Mischung an Klassiker wie [lexicon]Metroid[/lexicon] oder Castlevania, gepaart mit einem Schuss [lexicon]Minecraft[/lexicon] und Terraria und einem kräftigen Anteil an Rollenspielelementen. Zu Recht ist SteamWorld Dig zum besten Handheldgame des Jahres nominiert worden - und auch auf dem PC macht das süchtigmachende Abenteuerspiel rund um Rusty und Tumbleton eine sehr gut Figur.
